Ethidium Bromide Solution (EtBr) is a commonly used fluorescent stain to visualize nucleic acidEtBr intercalates between DNA bases. Upon intercalation, its fluorescence increases several folds (25 fold increase when it binds DNA), much higher than the unbound ethidium bromide fluorescence.
